Job Overview As a Seamstress / Tailor – Clothing Alterations, you’ll assess garments, discuss requested changes with customers, and complete alterations with care and precision. You’ll help customers feel confident in clothing that fits comfortably and suits their needs. Duties
- Consult with customers to understand fit concerns, alteration requests, and desired results.
- Measure garments and mark fabric accurately, using basic math to plan adjustments.
- Sew, hem, repair, and alter clothing by hand or with sewing equipment, checking fit and finish throughout the process.
- Organize alteration work, maintain a tidy workspace, and communicate progress or questions to customers and colleagues. Qualifications Required: Practical sewing and garment-fitting skills, transparent customer service, attention to detail, and basic math for measurements and adjustments. Preferred: Related clothing alteration or tailoring experience, along with the ability to communicate clearly, manage tasks reliably, and adapt to different garments and customer requests. Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
