Job Responsibility:

Product Designer

Working in our CAD design office, the Product Designer will support the technical sales process by working alongside the sales and design teams to create unique door and window designs.

West-Wood Industries manufactures high quality, custom wood windows and doors, sold throughout Canada and the United States under the brand name Norwood Windows & Doors. We mill our own wood onsite and are proud of our quality products.

Our facility has over 250,000 sq ft of floor space spread across six buildings where we transform raw lumber into custom doors and windows.

What You Can Expect in the Role as Product Designer:

- Coordinating with our Design & Sales team to design new custom products
- Releasing designs for manufacturing and assembly into production
- Configuring manufacturing instructions for the production floor
- Aiding in the constructing and testing of prototypes
- Providing technical support to other departments and employees
- Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager

What You Bring:

- Self-motivation, detail orientation, strong written and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team setting.
- Formal education/experience using 2D & 3D CAD modelling software.
- Experience with Autodesk Suite (AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel)




- Prior work experience in manufacturing or window/door industry (asset)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour Day Shift, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Requirements:

· Education: Post-Secondary Technical Program or equivalent work experience

· Language: English (required), French (asset)

· Ability to commute to Scoudouc, NB or relocate before start date
