Prepare institutional meals as a temporary part-time Cook with ARH, applying food safety knowledge and organized kitchen skills. This position is 0.2 FTE.

ARH seeks a Cook with a recognized culinary diploma, certificate, or relevant institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality experience. The successful candidate understands basic cooking methods, sanitation, safety, and measurement systems. Long-term care experience is considered an asset, while several years of related experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, implement, and complete cooking tasks in an organized, timely manner
- Apply basic cooking methods and terminology during food preparation
- Follow sanitation and safety practices in kitchen work
- Make simple calculations using metric and imperial measurements

Requirements:

- Recognized Cook diploma or certificate, or relevant cooking experience
- Current Food Handler Certificate from Public Health Inspection Branch
- Several years of related experience preferred
- Long-term care experience considered an asset
- Ability to stand most of the time and perform light to moderate work
