About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager with a specialization in cybersecurity to join their team. This hybrid role offers a strategic blend of remote work and in-office presence in Kimberley, Northern Cape , allowing for flexibility while ensuring essential on-site collaboration. You will be responsible for leading critical cybersecurity projects, including threat detection system implementations, security policy development, incident response planning, and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and project management best practices. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects, ensuring alignment with organizational security goals.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks and project-specific issues.
- Coordinate with IT, security teams, and business units to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
- Develop and manage project documentation,



including risk assessments, project plans, and status reports.
- Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Ensure projects adhere to relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Oversee the implementation of security technologies and processes.

Requirements

- A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity initiatives.
- Proven experience managing projects related to network security, data protection, cloud security, or incident response.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and emerging threats.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. CISSP, PMP, or CISM certifications are highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office duties.
- Experience managing vendor relationships for security solutions.
