Support safety compliance and site inspections as a Health and Safety Coordinator with Matheson Constructors. Periodic travel to project sites is required.

This coordinator assists with safety programs, legislation compliance, ISO Certification requirements, and employee training. The position develops skills in presentations, orientations, inspections, and accident or injury reports. It also supports safety documentation, equipment coordination, and NCSO training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain safety programs supporting current health and safety legislation
- Attend JHSC meetings and record meeting minutes
- Coordinate employee safety training and orientations
- Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Organize safety reports, toolbox talks, and documentation

Requirements:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in related OHS discipline
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Effective knowledge of applicable safety legislation
- Robust communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
