Reporting to the Director, Finance – Internal Reporting, this manager oversees journals, accruals, adjustments, trial balance reviews, and close deliverables. The role requires CPA designation, solid Record-to-Report expertise, and sound accounting judgment. For the first five months, project work supports accounting and reporting at Maple Leaf’s Montreal Subsidiary before SAP integration, with travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage journals, accruals, adjustments, and period-end close activities
- Review financial statements, supporting schedules, and trial balances
- Oversee journal approvals and complex accounting entries
- Maintain controls,



compliance, and audit-ready close documentation
- Support SAP go-live at the Viau subsidiary

Requirements:

- CPA designation and university degree in Business or Accounting
- Expertise in Record-to-Report, close governance, and financial controls
- Strong financial statement review and accounting judgment
- Leadership, coaching, analytical, and stakeholder influencing skills
- Ability to travel one to two weeks monthly until March
