Lead financial management for The Clayfield, a new luxury boutique hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake, using hospitality accounting and financial reporting expertise.

As Financial Controller, you will oversee accounting operations for the hotel and independently operated food and beverage business. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage budgeting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and transparent financial reporting. Your work will support operational decisions, ownership expectations, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support pre-opening systems, chart of accounts, banking, and financial workflows
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll coordination, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly statements, forecasts, budgets, and accurate P&L; reporting
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, billing,



collections, and credit processes
- Establish controls and oversee night audit, reconciliations, and brand compliance

Requirements:

- Five or more years of hotel accounting or finance experience
- Solid understanding of hotel revenue flows and departmental expenses
- Experience with Opera, POS systems, and accounting platforms
- Accuracy, organization, ownership, integrity, and professional discretion
- Leadership, communication, judgment, and hands-on execution skills
