Who we need

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, we are hiring a Salesforce Platform Developer to design, develop, and improve scalable solutions across Altus Group’s Salesforce platform. You will translate business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable solutions, working closely with Salesforce architecture, product, delivery, and business teams.

Your work will span hands‑on development, platform integrations, automation, release quality, and ongoing improvements to platform performance and stability. You will also contribute to development standards, technical reviews, and knowledge sharing across the team. This is a remote role, with a preference for someone based in Toronto.



Occasional office visits may be required.

As our new Salesforce Platform Developer, you will

- Build and improve Salesforce solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solutions that are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- Contribute to technical standards and quality.
- Follow established development practices and contribute to reusable solution patterns, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
- Help identify opportunities to improve solution quality, consistency, performance, and long‑term maintainability.




- Strengthen integrations and platform performance.
- Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications using APIs and appropriate integration technologies.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, address technical debt, and contribute to the stability, security, and performance of the environment.
- Support releases and production changes.
- Contribute to source control, CI/CD pipelines, testing, release management, and production deployments.
- Follow established change management and SOX control requirements, ensuring changes have the appropriate approvals, peer reviews, test evidence, and audit traceability.
- Work across teams to deliver solutions.
- Partner with Salesforce architects, product and delivery teams, business analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to solution design.
- Communicate technical considerations, dependencies, risks, and trade‑offs clearly, while sharing knowledge with other developers.
- Contribute to emerging platform capabilities.
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of AI‑enabled Salesforce capabilities, such as Agentforce and Einstein, in line with security, data, and governance requirements.
