Lead quality assurance activities at Gastops in Ottawa, applying internal auditing and corrective action expertise onsite five days weekly. Support advanced equipment sensing products.
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports Gastops’ AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. You will independently execute audits, oversee corrective actions, analyze quality metrics, and coordinate supplier quality activities. The position works with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, QC Inspectors, and process owners to evaluate compliance and identify systemic improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain QMS documentation, records, and organizational knowledge
- Plan and conduct assigned internal audits objectively
- Administer corrective actions and verify effectiveness
- Analyze quality performance data and recurring trends
- Support supplier audits, evaluations, and improvement activities
Requirements:
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent practical experience
- Five or more years in regulated manufacturing quality assurance
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or comparable QMS
- Practical knowledge of root cause and 8D methodologies
- Ability to meet security, export-control, and clearance requirements
