Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operation, this specialist provides expert leadership across threat detection, vulnerability management, and security operations. The work strengthens detection and response capabilities, matures cybersecurity controls, and supports regulatory and compliance requirements. Collaboration spans Information Technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, reduce, and mitigate cyber risk across Cenovus
- Enhance detection and response capabilities through technical expertise
- Support vulnerability management and cybersecurity control maturation
- Collaborate with technology teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners
- Communicate technical risks and recommendations to diverse audiences
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of cybersecurity experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management
- Expertise with EDR, SIEM, threat hunting, and firewall management
- Expertise in server security, hardening, and incident response
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
