As a certified Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, you will complete full-scope maintenance and repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will perform inspections, welding, and preventive maintenance while supporting protected, compliant fleet operations. The role also includes mentoring apprentices and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, drivetrains, and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and CVIP inspections
- Diagnose electrical systems and complete required welding
- Maintain shop equipment, tools,



and maintenance facilities
- Record repairs and communicate fleet status to stakeholders

Requirements:

- Alberta certification as a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician
- CVIP certification and applicable inspection knowledge
- Diagnostics experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Welding skills for fleet equipment and vehicles
- Knowledge of OH&S; regulations and COR safety standards
