Service Husky-site equipment in Fort McMurray as a Journeyman Off-Road Mechanic specializing in diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Work full time in the field.

This position maintains Herc Rentals’ fleet at active job sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, repairs, and equipment testing onsite. The work includes engines, DC electrical, propane, hydraulic, fuel, lithium, DPF, and DEF systems. You will also support field coordination, customer communication, documentation, and mechanic mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for Herc-owned fleet equipment
- Diagnose and repair engines, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, and emission systems
- Perform oil changes, lubrication, tire, hose, and battery replacements




- Test equipment onsite before and after repairs
- Complete service reports, repair logs, work orders, and parts orders

Requirements:

- Journeyman Off-Road Mechanic Certificate or Red Seal HET
- At least three years’ hands-on aerial equipment experience
- Valid Class 5 license and clean recent driver’s abstract
- Availability for seven days on, seven days off
- Ability to lift fifty pounds frequently and work indoors or outdoors
