This independent contractor position suits an experienced telecommunications security skilled. You will assess fiber access infrastructure, broadband equipment, provisioning systems, and operator environments. The work spans GPON, XGS-PON, customer premises equipment, and fixed-mobile convergence technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan authorized FTTH and PON penetration tests
- Investigate vulnerabilities across telecom infrastructure and management systems
- Analyze CPE firmware, interfaces, credentials, and update mechanisms
- Assess provisioning, subscriber management,
and network segmentation
- Report findings and recommend actionable remediation
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of fixed-line, FTTx, DSL, and coaxial architectures
- Proven IT and OT security auditing experience
- Practical understanding of FTTH and PON technologies
- Experience with telecommunications equipment vendor ecosystems
- Fluent written and spoken English
