As a highly experienced Back-End Software Engineer, you will evolve Cohere’s inference platform for secure enterprise-scale model deployment. You will work across authentication, authorization, deployments, billing, metering, customer lifecycle, and confidential computing. The work spans backend systems, cloud infrastructure, security, and AI inference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evolve backend systems powering Model Vault
- Lead architecture across identity, payments, and usage systems
- Build reliable control-plane services for model deployments
- Design APIs and distributed systems with solid guarantees
- Drive projects through rollout and production operations
Requirements:
- Highly experienced backend software engineering background
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, databases, and security
- Experience building production systems in Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust
- Understanding of concurrency, consistency, caching, and failure recovery
- Experience operating secure, available systems at significant scale
