About the Role

Our client, a leading specialist Recruitment Consultancy with a strong focus on the mining sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mining Recruitment Specialist to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA . This is a crucial role responsible for managing complex recruitment assignments for mining operations, from exploration to production. You will be tasked with identifying and securing top talent, including geologists, engineers, metallurgists, and operational managers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the mining industry, its technical requirements, and the unique challenges of recruiting in the Northern Cape . Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for senior and specialized roles within the mining sector.
- Source, screen, and assess candidates for technical and operational positions in mining and related industries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the mining sector across the Northern Cape .
- Conduct in-depth market research on talent availability, compensation, and industry trends within mining.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques to identify and engage passive candidates, including technical experts and operational leaders.
- Provide expert advice to clients on recruitment strategies and talent acquisition challenges specific to the mining industry.




- Ensure all placements meet the stringent technical and safety requirements of the mining sector.
- Mentor junior members of the recruitment team and contribute to best practice development.

Requirements

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 3 years specializing in the mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
- Proven success in recruiting for roles such as Geologists, Mining Engineers, Metallurgists, Plant Operators, and Management positions.
- Strong understanding of the mining lifecycle, from exploration to processing.
- Excellent knowledge of the Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA mining landscape and its key players.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple complex recruitment projects simultaneously.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Mining Engineering, Geology, HR) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build solid client relationships and drive business growth.
