Lead Life and Critical Illness claims teams at Medavie through coaching, adjudication expertise, and fair, timely appeals reviews. This permanent role supports quality services.

Reporting to the Manager, Quality Services, the Team Leader oversees Life and Critical Illness Claims and Appeals teams. The position provides direction on complex cases, contract interpretation, decision quality, and service standards. It also supports process improvement, documentation, reporting, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Life and Critical Illness adjudicators and Appeals specialists
- Support complex, sensitive, and precedent-setting claims
- Ensure objective, consistent, timely Appeals reviews
- Oversee workload distribution, priorities, and team performance
- Coach staff and support career development

Requirements:

- University or college degree
- Minimum five years in Life, Critical Illness, or Disability Claims
- Ten years in Life and Disability insurance
- One year supervising Life and Disability Case Management
- Bilingual French and English communication skills
