About the Role

Our client, a prominent diamond processing and manufacturing company in Kimberley , is seeking a dynamic Lead Industrial Process Improvement Engineer. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence by identifying, analyzing, and implementing enhancements across all facets of the industrial processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies, coupled with strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and specialists to achieve significant improvements in productivity, quality, cost reduction, and safety. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of strategic process improvement initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers and process specialists.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
- Conduct detailed process analyses, including value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Oversee the implementation of process changes, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum benefit.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.




- Collaborate with departmental managers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs on process improvement techniques.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in process optimization.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering and process improvement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex process improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in the jewelry or precision manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
- Ability to effectively manage change and motivate teams.
- Experience working within the unique industrial landscape of Kimberley .
