An overview of your future role at BBA
You’ll report to the Principal Director, Legal Affairs, and play a key role in providing legal support to BBA’s projectteams, operations and corporate functions in Canada and abroad. Your practicewill focus mainly on commercial contracts for engineering services andconstruction management, while also allowing you to contribute to a broaderrange of legal and strategic files. As an attorney, you’ll manage a variedportfolio of files and work closely with the project, business development,risk management, finance and human resources teams. Your work will cover areassuch as commercial contracts, corporate secretarial services and governance,intellectual property, insurance, business immigration and internationalmobility, as well as mergers and acquisitions to support BBA’s growth. Analyze,



draft and negotiate commercial contracts for engineering services and construction management, including skilled service, subcontract, confidentiality and collaboration agreements
Advise project and business development teams on the legal and commercial risks involved in requests for proposals, service proposals and mandate execution
Identify discrepancies with BBAs contractual positions and propose practical solutions that support business objectives while adequately protecting the firm
Support teams in addressing issues arising during a project, including scope changes, delays, claims, disputes and
