Domtar’s Howe Sound Mill seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will manage projects from planning and scope development through execution, commissioning, and closeout. The work supports mill reliability, equipment performance, continuous improvement, and long-term asset management.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare budget cost estimates for Cap Ex projects
Develop scopes, schedules, and procurement plans
Manage maintenance and Cap Ex project delivery
Review third-party civil and structural drawings
Coordinate qualified services for forest service roads
Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering, preferably Mechanical
Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer registration in Canada
Project management experience in pulp, paper, or mining preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project
Experience with ASME, API, or SAP preferred
