About the Role
the Physician Support Specialist, follows established policies and procedures; gathers and records all necessary information in the process of maintaining the physician’s patient records. Responsible for confirming or obtaining demographic information. Working directly with nurses, clinical program staff and site administration to assist patients with obtaining quality care.
The Physician Support Specialist will:
- Create a welcoming workplace by greeting guests, children, adolescents and their families.
- Inform psychiatrists of arrivals and direct the families to the waiting room.
- Assign nurses to initial consultations prior to booking with physicians.
- Accurately complete patient check-in, registration and demographic updates.
