General Site, 4001 Leslie Street#### Position SummaryCertified Rehab-Physio AssistantYour goal in this position is to implement a treatment plan as prescribed by the supervising occupational and/or physical therapist, observing and reporting changes in patient status with team members, performing administrative duties, and maintaining a clean and hazard free environment. You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effortlessly connecting with supervising therapist, physicians, staff, patients and families, and display a high degree of professionalism. You have the ability to lead group sessions and motivate patients to participate, and work in a physically demanding, challenging environment. You have the ability to adapt to a changing workload and have great organizational skills. You are a critical thinker, and will prioritize and work in a collaborative inter-professional team setting. This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy setting for staff, physicians, volunteers, learners, patients and families.#### Qualifications
* Diploma from an accredited college Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) program
* Ability to apply physiotherapeutic modalities




* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
* Experience in medical in-patient acute setting
* Proficient with computers, MS Word, internet searches, data entry and patient information systems.
* Bilingualism in French/English an asset####
