The Freight Operations Account Executive manages operational accountability for FIL Freight's commercial team. You will coordinate bookings, tracking, exceptions, proof of delivery, claims, and customer updates. You will also review transportation costs and prepare monthly recommendations for Transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute shipments through booking, tracking, and exception handling
- Resolve carrier issues with the transportation team
- Maintain accurate dispatch system records
- Document claims, failures, and root cause findings
- Present monthly freight spend recommendations and savings estimates
Requirements:
- Two or more years in freight operations, dispatch, or brokerage support
- Working knowledge of a brokerage transportation management system
- Solid attention to detail and follow-through
- Spreadsheet skills for structuring spend data
- Understanding of carrier costs and volume commitments
