AMD seeks a strategic software engineering lead for roc PRIM, hip CUB, roc Thrust, roc RAND, and hip RAND. You will improve application performance and benchmarks while collaborating across geographically distributed agile teams. The work spans algorithms, collectives, hardware, and software.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and optimize GPU accelerated collectives and algorithms
Improve future products with AMD architecture specialists
Design and develop recent AMD technologies
Participate in ASIC and hardware bring ups
Use Agentic AI to automate workflows and improve efficiency
Requirements: Over 15 years of C++ experience
GPU software development using HIP, CUDA, or Open CL
Understanding of CPU and GPU architectures
Linux and Windows operating system development experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a stated technical field
Lead AMD ROCm software engineering through C++, GPU optimization, architecture knowledge, and collaborative technical problem solving.
