Lead secure Primary Utilities operations at Stelco’s Lake Erie Works using technical problem-solving and industrial maintenance knowledge. This is a full-time permanent position in Nanticoke. The Shift Manager, also identified as Shift Engineer, reports to the Area Manager-Operations. You will maintain facilities, equipment, and personnel safely while coordinating technicians, apprentices, co-ops, project planners, service groups, contractors, and bargaining unit personnel. The position supports operating efficiency and minimum interruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the company safety program within operating facilities
- Promote safety through contacts, tours, investigations, and follow-up
- Supervise technicians maintaining various mill equipment
- Develop preventive maintenance programs using equipment history
- Complete scheduling, employee payments, reports, and safety conversations
Requirements:
- TSSA 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate
- Two-plus years supervising in heavy industrial or unionized environments
- Electrical or mechanical maintenance knowledge
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and valid driver’s license Bring leadership, maintenance expertise, and safety focus to Stelco’s Primary Utilities operations at Lake Erie Works.
