Lead product security for a fully remote Canadian team, protecting customer data through authorization, privacy engineering, and production code. This first dedicated security hire will work across every product team at a late-stage B2B data and AI company. You will spend most of your week in the codebase, secure internet-facing APIs, and shape designs before customers depend on them. The role reports to the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and own the application security roadmap
- Ship security fixes in TypeScript and Go
- Harden products before they reach customers
- Secure PII handling, data residency, GDPR, and CCPA controls
- Extend backend security across recent regions

Requirements:
- Deep distributed systems knowledge and backend experience
- Six or more years of security engineering experience
- Hands-on tenant isolation and authorization experience
- Experience at a high-growth or venture-backed company
- Computer Science, Math, Physics, or similar degree Apply product security expertise to privacy, APIs, distributed systems, tenant authorization, and hands-on production engineering across Canada.
