Perform general ultrasound examinations across Victoria using patient monitoring and computerized ultrasound equipment as a multi-site Generalist Sonographer. Work hours follow the schedule, with rotating days off.

Island Health seeks a Generalist Sonographer for a temporary full time assignment at Victoria General Hospital and Munro Centre - Island Ultrasound. Reporting to a supervisor under radiologist supervision, this position completes examinations, manages requisitions, and prepares patient data. The work supports patient and staff safety and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform general ultrasound examinations under radiologist supervision
- Receive and complete requisitions, forms, and reports
- Prepare and monitor supplies and ultrasound equipment




- Monitor patients throughout examinations and procedures
- Prepare and present patient data to radiologists

Requirements:

- Graduate from an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma program
- Hold Sonography Canada or ARDMS Generalist Sonographer credentials
- Bring one year of recent related health care experience
- Be eligible for registration with Sonography Canada
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
