Diagnose and repair off road heavy equipment at Sureway Construction’s Edmonton shop, using hydraulic schematics, electronic diagnostics, and specialized tooling.

This full time, permanent Heavy Equipment Technician position requires a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal certification or equivalent. You will work at Sureway’s 38 bay shop, supporting civil earthworks, grading, utilities, mine operation, and aggregate extraction equipment. Off road experience is required, including CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu experience. The schedule includes 10 or more hours per day on day shift, with overtime after eight hours daily or 44 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain equipment to the highest standards and timelines
- Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedures




- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls
- Use hydraulic and electronic schematics for troubleshooting
- Promote and follow Sureway’s safety program

Requirements:

- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification with Red Seal or equivalent
- Five to ten years of Journeyperson experience
- Required off road heavy equipment experience
- CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu experience
- Full complement of hand tools and reliable personal vehicle
