This prospect is designed for PGY4/5 FRCPC Emergency Medicine residents transitioning to practice. Work at the Owen Sound hospital, a Level 2 regional referral centre and Brightshores’ largest site. The emergency department records approximately 33,000 annual visits, with double coverage shifts, 24-hour laboratories, specialty backup, and comprehensive diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide emergency department care at Owen Sound hospital
- Manage patients with a staff emergency physician as MRP
- Work with double coverage shifts
- Access specialty backup and diagnostic imaging
- Coordinate care with regional facilities and services

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a PGY4/5 FRCPC Emergency Medicine program
- Current ACLS certification
- Current ATLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Emergency medicine training preparing for transition to practice
