Design power-generation enclosures with SolidWorks, sheet metal, and welded assemblies at AVL Manufacturing in a full-cycle mechanical design role.

The Mechanical Designer creates designs and drawings from concept through completed products. You will support Genset Enclosures, Fuel Tanks, Modified Containers, and other custom products. Collaboration spans process, applications, and electrical engineering to integrate power, electromechanical, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create manufacturable sheet-metal and welded assembly designs
- Develop complex assemblies using SolidWorks
- Integrate power and electromechanical systems with engineering disciplines
- Research customer proposals, specifications, manuals, and design data
- Prepare estimates, material selections,

Requirements:

- Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma or Mechanical Engineering degree
- Five-plus years’ mechanical engineering and design experience
- Mandatory SolidWorks CAD experience with advanced sheet-metal knowledge
- Experience with welded assemblies, welding symbols, routing, and FEA
- Valid driver’s license and North American travel availability
