JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Platform Engineer, Digital Workplace to join a large retail client’s People & Culture Technology team. This individual will be responsible for engineering, configuring, and supporting enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms used across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a mid-level engineer with strong hands‑on Microsoft 365 experience, with SharePoint Online as their primary area of expertise. This person should also have broader exposure across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups, and identity/access management.
Beyond Microsoft 365, this engineer will work across a broader portfolio of Digital Workplace applications such as Zoom, Miro, Figma, and other enterprise SaaS platforms. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on configuration, automation, integrations, troubleshooting, platform improvements, and owning changes through deployment and production support.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years of experience engineering, implementing, configuring, or supporting enterprise applications or SaaS platforms
- Strong hands‑on SharePoint Online engineering and administration experience in a complex enterprise environment
- Broader hands‑on experience across Microsoft 365, including technologies such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups, and identity/access integration
- Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Microsoft 365 platforms rather than solely providing end‑user support
- Experience building automation, scripts, or integrations using tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs,
Power Automate, webhooks, or similar technologies
- Understanding of enterprise identity and access management, including permissions, SSO, OAuth, security controls, and platform governance
- Experience troubleshooting complex platform issues across areas such as configuration, permissions, identity, APIs, integrations, and dependent services
- Experience owning technical changes through configuration/build, testing, deployment, production validation, and ongoing support
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Robust communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to partner across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, product, and business teams
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Hands‑on experience administering or engineering additional Digital Workplace platforms such as Zoom, Miro, Figma, or similar enterprise collaboration applications
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, sensitivity labels, retention, or other Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities
- Experience creating provisioning, lifecycle management, or self‑service automation for collaboration platforms
- Experience with Azure, CI/CD, Git‑based source control, infrastructure/configuration as code, or automated testing
- Experience supporting large‑scale, employee‑facing platforms within a global enterprise environment
