The Food Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the food products meet standards set by both the company and regulatory authorities. They may develop and review quality and safety policies and manage audits by third-party inspectors.
Position: Full-Time, PermanentSchedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm.

Salary:
Between $50,000-57,000 per year depending on experience, plus performance bonus.
Ensure food products meet company and regulatory standards.
Develop and review quality/safety policies and manage audits.
Conduct on-floor monitoring (60%) and office work (40%).
Create/update internal policies to meet SQF requirements.
Assist in employee Food Safety and Quality training.
Return product inspection and credit management.
Address customer complaints promptly.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science, preferably food or nutrition science.
GFSI certification an asset.
Previous food industry experience, especially in proteinStrong knowledge of analytical principles.
