Support Firebag growth projects from Suncor’s Calgary head office using Ready for Operations planning and SAGD operations expertise. Some travel to Firebag and EPC offices is required. As a Senior Operations Advisor, you will help integrate future project scopes into the existing Firebag field. You will support activities from concept development through execution, commissioning, start-up, and closeout. The role emphasizes operational integration, asset lifecycle management, and business readiness. You will work with Production Unit, RFO, commissioning, start-up, EPC, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and steward RFO plans through every project stage Plan Operations, Maintenance,
and Reliability deliverables Interface with EPCs and Firebag stakeholders Identify scope risks and define mitigation solutions Provide schedule, resource, risk, and quality updates
Requirements:
Engineering certificate, trade certification, or relevant degree Minimum seven years of progressive SAGD plant operations experience Experience supporting RFO, commissioning, or start-up activities Understanding of operational integration and business readiness principles Solid technical communication and stakeholder engagement skills Apply SAGD operations, RFO planning, and stakeholder leadership expertise to Suncor’s Firebag growth projects from Calgary.
