Job Type : Full-Time Seasonal (8-Month Contract)
Pay : CAD$20 – CAD$25/hr

Key Responsibilities

Note: Duties may vary day-to-day and the list below is not exhaustive.

- Follow all Buck’s Tree Service safety protocols, including hazard identification, work-site planning, and proper use of safety barriers.
- Complete daily truck logbooks, safety documentation, and equipment reports.
- Safely operate industry-related equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, hand saws, pruners, and other tools as required.
- Assist with arboricultural tasks such as tree trimming, removals, and felling, including work at various heights.
- Perform ground-level duties such as brush removal, site cleanup, equipment preparation, and job-site support.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, coworkers, and management.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
- Work outdoors and perform physically strenuous tasks in a variety of weather conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Genuine passion for the arboriculture industry.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to tow and back up trailers safely.
- Ground Disturbance training/experience (certifications considered an asset).
- First Aid certification is an asset.
- Steel-toed safety boots required.
- Previous arboriculture or related industry experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
- Ability to drag branches, load logs, and perform repetitive physical tasks.

- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physically capable of completing strenuous, repetitive, and outdoor labour tasks.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret underground utility locate markings and read associated documentation.
- Proficient in towing and backing up trailers.
- Ability to perform daily maintenance and inspections on stump grinding equipment (teeth changes, greasing, cleaning).
- Full-time seasonal employment.
- Competitive wages based on experience and skill level.
- Training reimbursements and support for industry certifications.
- Prospect to progress into a Climbing Arborist, Equipment Operator, or Crew Lead
role.
- ISA certification sponsorship available after probation period.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts (with potential for 10-hour days)
