Registered Practical Nurse needed in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, with medical-unit experience and current BCLS certification. This temporary regular part time assignment runs November 2026 to May 2027.

The Registered Practical Nurse works in the Medicine, Chatham department. Candidates need current Ontario College of Nurses certification, two years of recent hospital nursing experience, and palliative care or geriatric experience. Practice must reflect the full nursing scope outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and CKHA expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and manage blood and blood products successfully
- Process physician orders according to nursing practice requirements
- Administer oral, subcutaneous, IM, suppository, aerosol, and IV medications




- Perform venipuncture and initiate and manage IVs
- Adhere to CKHA expectations for nursing practice

Requirements:

- Current Registered Practical Nurse certification with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Two years of recent hospital nursing experience on a medical unit
- Palliative care and geriatric experience
- Practice consistent with the College of Nurses of Ontario full scope
