Apply actuarial methodology and AI/ML modeling as a Data Scientist I with TD’s Model Validation group in Toronto, Ontario. Validate insurance models independently.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Insurance Model Validation, this position supports Enterprise Risk and Risk Management. You will test TDI insurance and FCRM models, develop validation tools, and communicate findings with stakeholders. The work supports business initiatives, regulators, Audit review, and TD’s model risk policy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct independent validation for wide-ranging TDI insurance models
- Test and analyze FCRM models under supervision
- Discuss model limitations with first-line stakeholders




- Deliver reports supporting conclusions and regulatory review
- Develop tools assessing advanced AI/ML models

Requirements:

- Degree in actuarial science, statistics, AI/ML, or financial engineering
- FSA, ACAS, or ACIA designation
- In-depth AI/ML modeling and programming knowledge
- Excellent communication, project management, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

Use AI/ML modeling, actuarial knowledge, and validation analysis to support TD’s insurance model governance in Toronto.
