Serve Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke as a Public Services Librarian, teaching information literacy and providing research assistance on campus.

This full-time, five-month Librarian I contract runs from January 2027 through May 2027. You will support academic library teaching and research services for students, faculty, and staff. The work includes library orientations, instructional materials, digital literacy, and ethical artificial intelligence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach in-person library orientation classes during winter semester
- Guide students in locating, evaluating, and using resources
- Provide research assistance across broad subject areas
- Develop instructional materials and support faculty research
- Participate in committees, working groups,



and special projects

Requirements:

- Hold an ALA-accredited MLIS or equivalent relevant degree
- Understand academic library collections, services, and information literacy instruction
- Demonstrate skilled initiative, flexibility, and collegial collaboration
- Communicate excellently in English and French as specified
- Know OCLC WorldShare; familiarity is an asset
