Hydrostatic testing and hose finishing define this onsite technician role with Weir in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Training begins on day shift before nights.

Weir seeks a Hose Buff and Test Technician for its industrial manufacturing team. You will prepare custom-engineered hoses for mining and oil sands applications, use mechanical tools, and follow engineering specifications. Direct hose testing experience is not required because comprehensive training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove excess material and finish cured hose surfaces
• Operate grinders, cutting tools, hand tools,
  
  
  
  and torque equipment
• Install and remove test flanges and hardware
• Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests and measure hose expansion
• Document results and assist with packaging and shipping preparation

Requirements:

• Solid commitment to workplace safety
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Comfort using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to work in industrial manufacturing
