Operate specialized rail inspection vehicles with Sperry Rail as a field-based CDL Driver traveling extensively throughout Canada. Support safety-critical testing operations.

This CDL Driver position operates hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars on roadways and railroad tracks. The work includes rail flaw detection testing, data collection, onboard computer monitoring, and ground-level inspections. Drivers follow DOT and FRA regulations while supporting vehicle maintenance and crew communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Travel within assigned regions for three to four months
- Operate hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Assist with rail flaw detection testing and data collection




- Report safety concerns and equipment issues promptly

Requirements:

- Valid Class 5 or higher CDL with air brake endorsement
- Two or more years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 85 pounds
- Ability to pass required health assessments and background checks
- Robust verbal and written communication skills
