Deliver compassionate patient care as a Laboratory Assistant with Dynacare in Kanata, Ottawa, Arnprior, and surrounding locations. Use empathy during testing.

As a full-time Laboratory Assistant Float, you will work contractually for 12 months across multiple sites. Your responsibilities include obtaining specimens, conducting tests, entering requisition information, and creating a positive patient experience. Day shifts run Monday through Saturday between 6:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create a best-in-class experience for patients
- Enter patient and test information accurately
- Manage anxious patients with calm, reassuring communication
- Sort and steer specimens under established protocols
- Complete required specimen documentation and supporting information

Requirements:

- Completed Secondary School education
- Laboratory Assistant training or Medical Lab Assistance course
- Specialized training in phlebotomy
- Explicit, understandable English communication with patients
- MLPAO or CSMLS Certification strongly recommended

Use patient-focused communication, phlebotomy training, and careful documentation to support Dynacare’s testing services across its float locations.
