As a Forestry Technician, you will be challenged with the strength and endurance required to work in the field under harsh environmental conditions to collect field data that varies depending on project/industry objectives. You will also be tasked with the responsibility of performing office duties in the form of data compilation, interpretation, and report writing. Field data collection Ecological site assessments Harvest boundary layout Silviculture data collection and Assisting with other general environmental assessments. 3+ yearsof progressive experience in forestry operations, including supervisory or managerial roles.



~ Abachelor’s degreein forestry, forest management, environmental science, or a related natural resource field is usually required. ~ Experience inforest planning, silviculture, harvesting operations, and regulatory complianceis highly valued. ~ Knowledge ofBritish Columbia’s forest legislation, policies, and sustainable forest management practices. ~ Proficiency inGIS, forest inventory systems, and other forestry-related technologies considered and asset. ~ Experience supervising or leading teams of technical or professional staff ~ Developing and delivering management plans, reports, or policy recommendations. ~ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, especially with Indigenous communities, government agencies, and industry partners. Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license & clean drivers abstract (Required) Level 1 First Aid; ability to pass drug and alcohol testing Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of leading diverse field crews safely and efficiently. #
