Build gas distribution skills with FortisBC as a full-time Distribution Assistant, learning pipefitting, welding, and safe field operations across British Columbia.

This full-time regular role supports construction, maintenance, and operation of the Gas Distribution system. You will assist with distribution pipes, fittings, repairs, and alterations while receiving classroom and on-the-job training. Training also covers safety, customer service, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with installing distribution pipes, fittings, and related components
- Support repairs and alterations to existing mains and services
- Learn welding and pipefitting skills through hands-on training
- Use required tools, procedures, equipment,



and instruments
- Complete time slips, trucking slips, and easy work forms

Requirements:

- High school, Grade 12, or GED graduation
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and protected driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and initiative
- Demonstrated protected work habits and responsibility
- Ability to walk, bend, lift, and work outdoors

Develop gas operations expertise through FortisBC training while supporting safe distribution construction, maintenance, and customer service.
