Operate heavy equipment for the City of Maple Ridge, using hydraulic backhoes and tractors in regular full-time public works service. As an Equipment Operator 4A, you will support Engineering Operations through construction, maintenance, and emergency response work. The position requires equipment operation, servicing, mechanical aptitude, secure work practices, and sound judgment. You will work with municipal services, underground infrastructure, and field assignments affecting roads and utilities.

Key Responsibilities
Operate hydraulic backhoes for excavation, grading, loading, and pipelaying Operate tractors with flail mowers and hydraulic booms Respond to flooding, blockages, breaks, and fallen trees Perform servicing, minor repairs,



and preventative maintenance Complete records and assist related staff when required

Requirements:
Grade 12 and considerable related equipment experience British Columbia Class 3 driver's licence with Air Brake Endorsement Thorough knowledge of construction equipment operation methods Ability to interpret instructions, drawings, plans, and worksheets Physical endurance, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity Bring heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and emergency response skills to essential public works services in Maple Ridge. #J-18808-Ljbffr
