Operate graders, pavers, loaders, and snowblowers for the County of Grande Prairie. Work full-time in paving, patching, and winter snow removal operations.

This permanent Heavy Equipment Operator supports Transportation and Utilities’ Operations Programs team. Summer assignments focus on the Paving and Patching Crew, while winter work supports urban snow removal. The position includes equipment operation, maintenance, communication, safety participation, and assigned labour duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate graders, pavers, loaders, and snowblowers safely
- Support summer paving and asphalt patching operations
- Perform urban snow removal during winter
- Clean, maintain, and secure equipment as directed
- Communicate respectfully with coworkers, supervisors, and the public

Requirements:

- Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including bobcats and backhoes
- Experience in asphalt patching preferred
- Experience towing a trailer
- Ability to perform physical labour and use hand tools
