Lead product security for a fully remote Canadian team, protecting customer data through authorization, privacy engineering, and production code.
This first dedicated security hire will work across every product team at a late-stage B2B data and AI company. You will spend most of your week in the codebase, secure internet-facing APIs, and shape designs before customers depend on them. The role reports to the VP of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities: Build and own the application security roadmap
Ship security fixes in TypeScript and Go
Harden products before they reach customers
Secure PII handling, data residency, GDPR, and CCPA controls
Extend backend security across current regions
Requirements: Deep distributed systems knowledge and backend experience
Six or more years of security engineering experience
Hands-on tenant isolation and authorization experience
Experience at a high-growth or venture-backed company
Computer Science, Math, Physics, or similar degree
Apply product security expertise to privacy, APIs, distributed systems, tenant authorization, and hands-on production engineering across Canada.
