MLT Aikins is seeking an associate lawyer for its advocacy group, with one to three years of municipal law or relevant civil litigation experience. The Municipal team advises cities, towns, villages, rural municipalities, and public bodies across Saskatchewan. This practice offers varied files involving governance, development, privacy, procurement, employment, enforcement, and public sector disputes.
Key Responsibilities: Advise on planning, zoning, subdivision, development, and taxation
Review municipal policies, resolutions, bylaws, and agreements
Assist with bylaw enforcement and prosecutions
Advise on privacy, elections, procurement,



and employment matters
Represent clients before administrative tribunals and boards
Requirements: Canadian Law Society membership in good standing or mobility eligibility
One to three years of municipal or civil litigation experience
Interest in municipal and public law practice
Knowledge of The Cities Act and The Municipalities Act
Attention to detail and effective client communication skills
Bring public law judgment, municipal knowledge, and explicit communication to diverse files affecting communities throughout Saskatchewan.
