Shape Phoenix Society’s strategic communications and external relations as General Counsel, advising executives while leading issues management and public positioning.
This senior role develops communications strategy aligned with Phoenix Society’s strategic plan. You will advise the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board, lead media relations, and oversee organizational storytelling, digital communications and brand standards. The position also supports government relations and advocacy communications.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement and evaluate external communications strategy
Advise executives and Board on reputation risk
Lead media relations and prepare public materials
Oversee publications, websites, social media and brand standards




Coordinate crisis communications and emerging issue responses
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
Seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience
Experience advising senior executives on complex initiatives
Demonstrated media relations and issues management experience
Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
Bring strategic judgment, executive communications expertise and robust storytelling skills to Phoenix Society’s public affairs work.
