Lead inverter controls and firmware investigations for e-STORAGE BESS projects, working remotely in Canada or the United States. Connect technical findings with vendor action.
This senior engineering role focuses on understanding inverter behaviour across operating battery energy storage systems. You will assess firmware, software, controls logic, hardware, design limitations, and power-system conditions. You will review releases and retrofit proposals, define validation criteria, and coordinate implementation plans with inverter vendors and site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Investigate inverter behaviour across operating battery storage projects
Differentiate software, firmware, controls, hardware, and design causes
Review vendor releases and proposed technical changes
Define corrective actions, retrofit requirements,
and validation criteria
Troubleshoot voltage, frequency, real-power, and reactive-power distribution
Requirements: Five or more years in renewable energy or battery storage
Electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering degree
Strong inverter operation and dispatch-control knowledge
Power-systems knowledge preferred for grid-connected systems
Transparent communication with vendors, sites, engineering, and management
Use controls, firmware, and power-system knowledge to resolve inverter behaviour challenges throughout e-STORAGE’s operating BESS portfolio.
