Apply procurement expertise as a Project Buyer with Alstom in Toronto, supporting tender strategy, supplier negotiations, and on-site collaboration four days weekly.
In this full time Buyer position, you will develop procurement strategies and prepare commitments for complex rail projects. You will work with Engineering, Project, Bid, and Technical Managers across tender activities. The role includes supplier engagement, cost analysis, contracting, and procurement compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement activities during tender phases
Lead supplier engagement and pre-bid negotiations
Compile cost commitments and assess supplier risks
Coordinate supplier readiness with Quality and Project Teams
Manage supplier contracts and execution
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or related field
Proven understanding of procurement processes
Knowledge of electronics, SCADA, and electro-mechanical systems
Familiarity with Excel
Second language preferred
Bring procurement strategy, supplier negotiation, and tender cost expertise to Alstom’s Toronto rail projects.
