John Abbott College’s Centre for Continuing Education seeks an instructor for the Iyeskuwiiu Program. This 45-hour course supports a culturally rooted preparation year within a two-semester Springboard to DCS. The course examines land and technology during the Winter semester from January 4 to April 22, 2027. Applicants should understand Eeyou-Eenou culture, history, society, and rights, while teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.

Deliver 45 course hours during the Winter semester




Teach Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Apply culturally relevant, sensitive, and appropriate pedagogy
Support Eeyou-Eenou students’ academic skills and cultural pride
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Studies or equivalent
Knowledge of Eeyou-Eenou culture, history, society, and rights
Related post-secondary teaching experience preferred
Online teaching experience preferred
Bilingual English/Cree candidates preferred
