Apply reality-capture expertise with Bird as a Digital Construction Reality Capture Specialist supporting field verification, drones, LiDAR, and BIM. This is a hands-on, field-focused position.
The Digital Construction Reality Capture and Survey Specialist transforms site conditions into actionable digital information for coordination, QA/QC, progress validation, and as-built documentation. The fixed-term contract works across Digital Construction, field operations, survey, quality, safety, project controls, and trade partners. You will support model-based decision-making while identifying issues earlier and improving installation verification.
Key Responsibilities: Plan terrestrial scanning, drone LiDAR, photogrammetry, and aerial documentation
Execute field captures under project, safety, weather, and regulatory requirements
Process and manage point clouds, imagery, and capture datasets




Compare field conditions against models and construction documents
Produce verification reports, progress imagery, and site visuals
Requirements: Experience with drones, LiDAR, laser scanning, photogrammetry, and BIM
Ability to coordinate control points, benchmarks, scan targets, and references
Ability to document deviations, discrepancies, and installation measurements
Ability to maintain operational field technology and organized records
Ability to coordinate with construction, survey, quality, safety, and trade teams
Bring field-focused reality capture, model validation, and BIM expertise to Bird’s Digital Construction work under a fixed-term contract.
